College Weekend Success
We here at Inside Hook hope that your weekend was as good as ours. We got the weekend off to a terrific start with our college picks. And, if you were paying attention, our Lock of the Week, LSU +3, came through, as LSU beat Georgia outright. Keep it here, loyal followers, for more of the same in the coming weeks. As a matter of fact, all four of our college picks came through as predicted. Notre Dame won the game over Washington, but did not cover, so Washington +13 was a winner. Penn St. beat Illinois handily, 35-17, and they were a 6 point favorite, so, if you had Penn St. -6, our recommendation, again, you were a winner. And finally, just like we said would happen, South Florida took care of Syracuse 34-20, easily covering the 6 point spread. By our math, that's 4-0 on our college picks.
Fantasy Advice
Fantasy Football is really the most important fall activity known to mankind. That being the case, we, the Doctors of Footballogy, here at Inside Hook, take this extremely seriously. We don't just give flippant fantasy advice. We're not the "take two of these and call me in the morning" kind of Drs. When we say 'Don't forget about David Garrard against Tennessee' that's what we mean. And what did he do? He threw for 323 yds. and 3 TD's. Easily his best outing of the year, to this point. Also, Eli Manning and Steve Smith both had great days against the Chiefs, just as we predicted. Remember our Bear Goggles segment? Jay Cutler threw for 2 TD's and ran for another, and Matt Forte had his first 100+ yard rushing day. And how about that Steeler advice? Big Ben threw for 333 yds. and 2 TD's, a big day as predicted. Also, we warned you about a couple of players who did not have favorable matchups. Marques Colston was shut down by Darrelle Revis, just like we said. He only had 2 catches for 33 yds. And Ryan Grant, going up against that stout Minnesota defense Monday night was held out of the end zone, just like we thought he would be. If you want continued Fantasy success, put Inside Hook in your favorites. We're your one-stop for all things football. Make sure to check back here Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for all of next weekends football action.
